“Spiritual Warrior”

IMG_9230 Warrior 1- Virabhadrasana1In most yoga texts such as  the Bhagavad-Gita, is dialog between two famous and feared warriors, set in a battlefield between two great armies spoiling for a fight.. This pose merely represents the “spiritual warrior” who battles with the universal enemy, self- ignorance, which is the ultimate source of all out sufferingAlthough this pose can be a bit tricky to perfect, its meaning is one of the most powerful not only spiritually but physically. It was one of the first poses I remember learning when I began doing yoga and one which is a part of every class I have taken.
